About Kelsie Hammitt, LAc, LMT, and Professionl Astrologer
Welcome to Alchemy Astrology! Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Kelsie Hammitt and I am a practicing astrologer. I was born under the sun of Aquarius, Moon of Libra, and horizon of Virgo. In addition to practicing Astrology, I'm also a practicing Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist in SW Portland at Dragon Rises Center for Wholeness Acupuncture Clinic. Of all the lineages I have studied and practiced, Chinese Medicine and Western Astrology stand as the two pillars of my work and are my greatest passions in life. Both of these modalities offer a profound understanding of the body in relationship to the cosmos, giving language and rhythm to the experiences I find myself, and my patients, navigating through each day.
I owe my deep love for these traditions to my dear and later teacher, Bill Frazier, who offered me the wisdom of his 55 years of study and practice and has left me with our shared dream of integrating these two systems within the treatment space. Astrology has served me personally as a tool to do deep introspective work and it is an extreme blessing to offer helpful reflections to others. I believe that when we have the courage to learn about ourselves through the lens of astrology, we have the power and insight to live more intentionally, gracefully, and peacefully. It is a great passion of mine to integrate and interweave the teachings between Western Astrology and Ancient Chinese Medicine. I find great joy being able to offer both of these rich modalities in session with my patients and clients.

Outside of the treatment space, I am married to the love of my life, my wife, Elena. Together, we have built an incredible life that continually nourishes me and fills me with gratitude. As a queer woman, I feel deeply proud of the love and life we share. Our home is joyfully filled with our two small pups, Milo and Copper, and two very content felines, Penelope and Nahla, who rule the couch as if it were their throne. I have family in both the Southwest and the Midwest, and I’m passionate about traveling to places rich in history and culture, journeys that remind me, and those I work alongside, of the beauty of being fully alive and privileged enough to embrace it with an open heart. I cherish the many dear friendships in my life and find the relationships I share with my patients to be among the most nourishing of all.

I’d love to meet you and be of support to you and your journey that continues to unfold.

Education:
I graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine in June 2025 with my Master's Degree in Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine, and a specialization in Chinese Herbal Medicine. My astrological education has been deeply shaped by focused study and mentorship with the late Bill Frazier, L.Ac., in Aurora, Oregon. I have also studied Medical Astrology with Kira Sutherland, a Naturopath based in Australia, and Experiential Astrology with Jason Holley, a practicing astrologer of thirty-five years and psychotherapist of eighteen.

Following Bill Frazier’s passing in July 2024, I have continued my studies primarily with Jason Holley and am currently under mentorship with him from November 2025 through June 2027. This mentorship allows me to integrate the hands-on modalities of experiential astrology into my clinical work, bridging astrological insight with the somatic awareness cultivated in the treatment space.
